What is going on FTT Family and welcome back to another From The Top blog post! Today we are talking about a favorite amongst our community: Food! As you all know, here at From The Top, we love to eat. Making yummy dishes is  not only a delicious experience, needless to say, but having great eating habits also provided us with  the fuel that keeps us going! It’s even more important for athletes like ourselves, as a balanced diet keeps us focused and energized throughout the day. These recipes that we’ll be sharing with you all come from some of our favorite food bloggers, who really know how to put together some delicious creations! So let’s discuss some of our favorite on-the-go meals, snacks, smoothies and more that will help keep you going on those long dance days!   1. 15 Minute Vegetarian Tostadas by Liz Thompson (“I Heart Vegetables”)

Starting out this list with a vegetarian friendly dish, we have these delicious vegetarian tostadas! Hearty and super easy to make, these tostadas are an on-the-go and “eat in between dance rehearsals” dream! Not only are they super quick to pack, but they are also super easy to cook, taking only 15 minutes! You can’t beat that!

  1. Blueberry Pancake Bites by Couponingforfreebies

I’m a simple woman. I see pancakes, and I click! Don’t have time to eat breakfast before class, shows or competitions? No problem! This is the first of many easy peasy breakfast dishes mentioned in today’s post that will do just the trick! These blueberry pancake bites are super easy to pack and even easier to just pop in your mouth while you’re on the move. They’re also pretty light weight, so no worries about throwing up mid-fouette (trust me, I know the feeling).

  1. Creamy Tuna Pasta Salad by Healthy Fitness Meals

One thing is for sure, you can never go wrong with a good salad dish. A lunch favorite that’s been around for years, tuna salad is a great on the go option as it keeps very well in commute. While I myself am a vegetarian, this tuna pasta salad by Healthy Fitness Meals has rave reviews of being super tasty and a quick and easy go to!

  1. Pepperoni Chips by Whole Lotta Yum

Super innovative and a keto favorite, pepperoni chips are the perfect snack to bring along with you to class if you are looking for something protein packed and savory! These pepperoni chips by Whole Lotta Yum (as seen before on our social media) are super simple to make and are said to be oh-so good. Kiss those regular cheesy chips goodbye, cause there’s a new chip in town!

Now you know we had to add in this crowd favorite! Gyros is the Greek sandwich that you just can’t get enough of, and Tania Sheff (aka Cooktoria) is here to show us how to  whip up a few chicken gyros for any time of the day! This sandwich is a long competition days dream, as it is equally hearty as it is tasty. We know it will be  a go to favorite on your list!

  1. Homemade Soft Pretzel Bites by Modern Honey

If you are a pretzel enthusiast like I am and like to get your hands dirty with baking, these pretzels are the way to go! These Pretzel Bites are an amazing snack that will definitely hold you over until your next lunch hour! And they’re super discreet, but don’t get eating them in class though *wink wink*.

If there is one quick breakfast fix that I love, it is definitely overnight oats! They’re super easy to make, require about 5% effort and keep you full all morning! The best thing about overnight oats is that you make them in a mason jar, which makes them perfect for breakfast at the studio!

Ending off our list with a delicious smoothie full of our favorite things! This Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie is one that tastes as good as it looks, and boy, does it look good! Food With Feeling has created this wonderful version of a smoothie classic and it is ah-mazing. Definitely a go to for your next dance class!

Because a little sweet never hurt anyone! I make these cute and tasty mini oreo cheesecakes for my elementary classes and they are a huge hit! So much so that even the parents can’t resist snagging a few themselves. These mini oreo cheesecakes are bite sized and perfect for those midday sugar rushes to help keep you going during a busy dance class, competition, recital or competition! And don’t be shy.
